The reason of death of the princess, who has kept her mystery for years and was called the "screaming mummy" due to the painful expression on her face, was determined as a heart attack. According to experts, the princess could not be intervened during the embalming process, as she was found hours after her death, thus preserving her posture with her facial expression at the time of death. Egyptologist Doctor Zahi Hawass explained his findings as follows; “We assume that the lifeless body of the screaming woman might not have been discovered until hours later, which is enough time to cause death solidification. We think that the embalmers made their shrunken body without rotting or mummifying it.
